Dr. Trout specializes in providing economic, financial and valuation consulting services. Dr. Trout works as a special advisor to BSG, focusing on complex valuations and transaction due diligence. Dr. Trout has conducted valuations and presented expert witness testimony before state and federal courts and agencies for over 30 years. He has analyzed companies for antitrust, intellectual property and business loss cases covering many industries. He has specific expertise in the following areas: valuation of businesses, financial assets, and securities; antitrust economics and damages; breach of contract damages; business interruption losses; eminent domain business goodwill losses; employment discrimination statistics; investment and portfolio theory; patent infringement losses; personal economic losses; regulatory economic issues; securities fraud losses; statistical analysis; trademark infringement losses; and wrongful termination damages. Dr. Trout earned a Ph.D. in Financial Economics from the Anderson School of Management, University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) � Minor in Statistics and Corporate Law. He also earned a Masters in Business Administration in Finance from UCLA and a Bachelor of Science in Math and Economics from the University of Oregon, Eugene.
